‘Empire’ Season 2: Episode 5 Spoilers

You guys ready for a bit of drama? Because we’ve go more than enough drama in Wednesday night’s latest episode of Empire.

The latest installment of the FOX hit, titled “Be True,” packs a serious punch with storylines for just about every character and more than enough twists and turns that viewers are liable to get a bit of whiplash.

So, what’s in store on Wednesday night?

The fifth episode of season two will be built around Andre’s (Trai Byers) struggles and the still-uneasy alliance between Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Anika. It all gets started with Andre’s baptism in an effort to wash away some of his more heinous sins. “I’m not a good person, mom,” he tells Cookie. “I’ve done horrible things.”

Meanwhile, Cookie is still focused on bringing donw the Empire and her work with Anika leads her to hold “Cookie Lyon’s Block Party,” a big-time event to try and launch the brand-new label’s artists. The event will also give Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) the chance to premiere a signature Dynasty anthem.

Still, Lucious (Terrence Howard) refuses to feel the threat. Instead, he’s actually intent on merging the label with Empire. But this isn’t a move based on family or loyalties. Instead, he simply wants to regain control.

Empire airs at 9 p.m. ET, Wednesdays on FOX.
