On tonight’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, pro partner Sharna Burgess may get her wish as Nick Carter is reported to be performing to “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”. Burgess told us she’s been hoping to get to dance to this song with Carter as she is a longtime Backstreet Boys fan. She even used to have posters of Nick Carter all over her walls growing up. What was really cool was when Backstreet Boy AJ showed up at rehearsals to help Sharna and Nick perfect their dance moves.
Sharna admitted that she felt a bit of pressure with doing this dance because it’s Carter’s most iconic song.
Tonight’s show is all about the theme “Most Memorable Year” and for Carter, that year was in 1996 when he was only 12 years old. That’s the year when he first met BSB band members A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough. Carter explained to Us Weekly:
That was the year my life changed forever. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am right now. Every single one of those guys raised me and taught me so much about values and family and relationships and just morals and I was really fortunate to have that from those guys. They were there for me through thick and thin and cared about me and loved me without expectations wholeheartedly.
