When Does Teresa Giudice Get Out of Prison?

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, we catch up with the Giudice family as they battle through Teresa Giudice’s jail sentence. Joe Giudice is taking care of his four children while family members help him out. Since he cannot drive due to legal issues with DUI’s, he has to have family there to drive him around. Teresa Giudice checked into the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Connecticut this past January 5, 2015 and she is actually scheduled to get out early, on December 23, 2015. Her husband Joe is set to then begin his sentence once she gets out. Teresa’s convicted sentence was for 15 months on charges of tax fraud while Joe has been sentenced to three and a half years.

With the Teresa Checks In special, we get to see what life is like for the Giudice family while Teresa is in prison. She still tries to run the household even though she’s away and Joe has stepped up to the plate in parenting. On the show, we get to see the emotional toll that this ordeal has taken on eldest daughter Gia, who has really grown up since we first saw her on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

While Teresa has been in prison, Joe has been in the tabloids for rumors of infidelity, but all Joe could talk about to ABC News was about how hard it is to visit his wife in jail and how much he misses her. Joe revealed:

I have a harder time saying goodbye than they do. Well, now it’s, you know, better, but I mean … when you go to her in the beginning, it’s rough, you know, watching her stay there. It sucks. But what are you gonna do? It’s almost over, thank God.

In addition to showing how Teresa’s being in prison has affected the Giudice family, we’ve also seen how it affects the Gorga family. Apparently, Melissa Gorga, Teresa’s sister-in-law, has not visited her. However, she has tried to lend her support to the family. Gia Giudice told the cameras that Melissa has reached out to her and she appreciates that, but she isn’t ready for it just yet. As for Teresa’s brother Joe, he says that he’s talked with his sister and that she knows he loves her. He says they bicker, but that’s just how their relationship is together.
