Is ‘Empire’ Back on TV This Week?

Empire, Empire spoilers, Empire return, Empire schedule, TV

It’s only been a week, but Empire is, finally, back on TV this Wednesday night. (Facebook)

The World Series is officially over, the Kansas City Royals are champions for the first time in 30 years and Empire is set to return to TV screens this week. It hasn’t been 30 years for Empire fans, but after the cliffhanger ending to the last episode, it’s almost felt that long.

The FOX hit returns this Wednesday night at its usual time, 9 p.m. ET.

So, what’s going on? Let’s recap.

Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) was jogging through the park at the end of the drama’s most recent episode when he was pulled off the path by an unidentified group who forced the youngest Lyon son into a van that sped away.

Absolutely crazy, right? So, pretty par for the course for Empire.

Of course, while many fans have questioned why Hakeem – part of the very famous and very prominent Lyon Dynasty – is out jogging in a park without any bodyguards or security, the big question here is who took him in the first place.

There are more than a few suspects of course, including Laura, the lead singer of Hakeem’s new girl group, who he assumed would be willing to have sex with him. Then there’s Freda, the daughter of Frank Gathers, the man Lucious had killed in jail. And don’t forget prosecutor Roxanne Ford (Tyra Ferrell) who seems willing to do anything to get a jump on Lucious (Terrence Howard).

Here’s hoping viewers will get some answers on Wednesday night.
