‘Empire’ Season 2: Episode 6 Spoilers

Empire spoilers, Empire season 2 spoilers, Hakeem Lyons, Bryshere Y. Gray

Empire is back and fans are looking for answers after Hakeem was kidnapped by a group of masked men in the FOX hit’s last episode. (Facebook)

Who kidnapped Hakeem Lyon?

Or perhaps, an even better question, why doesn’t Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) have some kind of security when he’s jogging through the park?

These are the questions that have haunted Empire fans for nearly two weeks after the show delivered a big-time cliffhanger and then took a one-week hiatus while the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets battled for a World Series title. Well, baseball is over and, now, it’s time for some Empire-related answers.

Check out the preview for Wednesday night’s episode right here:

The brand-new episode of the FOX drama, titled “A High Hope for a Low Heaven,” forces Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) to put their differences aside, at least for a moment, as the two join forces to try and find their son. It’s, as expected, a dramatic partnership and one that is consistently on the edge of collapsing entirely.

Still, Lucious thinks Hakeem is safe after the kidnappers demanded just $40,000 for the ransom.

While Lucious and Cookie battle to bring back their son, the rest of the Lyon family is still focused on the music. Jamal is doing his best to get back into the studio, looking to break free of the “gay artist” label, while Andre works to shut down a division at Empire.

Also, check out that potential Cookie romance in the preview clip. That’s going to be a major plot point down the stretch

Empire airs at 9 p.m. ET Wednesdays on FOX.
