Empire spoilers, Empire season 2 spoilers, Empire, FOX

After getting Hakeem back last week, the Lyon family will face a whole new batch of drama in the latest episode of Empire. (Facebook)

Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) is back, but that hardly means the repercussions of his kidnapping have stopped unfolding.

This is Empire, after all, so get ready for a brand-new dose of drama in Wednesday night’s new episode, titled “True Love Never.” Check out the latest promo clip for the episode here:

Now that her son is back safe, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) turns her focus back to Lyon Dynasty, trying to get her new business involved in a huge charity concert that will be broadcast on TV. That won’t be easy though and Cookie may have even bigger problems on her hands. Her new love interest and concert promote Laz Delgado (Adam Rodriguez) might not be who he says he is.

Fans will be remember that during their hookup scene last week, it was revealed that Laz has the same longhorn tattoo that was on the backs of the men who took Hakeem. Coincidence? Probably not.

Hakeem already doesn’t trust Laz and Cookie’s new love interest will meet up with one of the men who took the youngest Lyon brother. Meanwhile, Hakeem and Laura (Jamila Velzaquez) will grow closer as he tries to help her become a star.

Meanwhile, Lucious (Terrence Howard) is still focused on growing Empire and partnering with a man named Jago (Patrick Mulvey), the founder of a music streaming company. Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is still working on his new music with his father, but deep down wants to return o Cookie. It won’t take long for Lucious to pick up on that. It also won’t be pretty when he finds out.

Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) is also expected to return this week. See, we promised some dramatics.

Empire airs at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
