Veterans Day 2014 is November 11, 2015, and most banks are closed in addition to government offices and certain financial markets. However, TD Bank says it will run normal business hours on Veterans Day, so your local branches should be open, and a few other banks will be open as well.

According to Go Banking Rates, all the banks that will be open on Veterans Day are:

American Chartered Bank: Open for regular hours on Veterans Day.
American Savings Bank of Hawaii: Holiday hours are offered on Veterans Day at in-store locations listed on the bank’s site.
The Bank of Elk River: Three of this Minnesota bank’s six branches will be open on Veterans Day.
Bank of Hawaii: In-store branches are open for limited holiday hours on November 11.
Citizens Bank: If you’re looking for banks open on Veterans Day, try Citizens. The bank confirmed that some branches will be open on Nov. 11, but hours will vary by location, so check with your local branch.
Huntington Bank: Meijer and Giant Eagle supermarket branches will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; all other branches will be closed.
Intrust Bank: Select branches will be open for Veterans Day; contact the bank for more information on holiday hours.
Metro Bank: On November 11 this community bank in Pennsylvania will be open for its usual hours of operation.
PNC Bank: While most locations will be closed, some of PNC’s in-store locations will open as usual on Veterans Day. Check hours with your supermarket branch to be sure.
TD Bank: This bank opens on Veterans Day for usual business hours.
Union First Market Bank: In-store locations will be open for limited hours on the morning of November 11.
U.S. Bank: Several of its offices will be open on Veterans Day. Check with your local branch for its holiday hours.
Valley National Bank: Most locations are offering limited holiday hours or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Veterans Day.

The stock market will also be open. There will be no mail delivery, USPS branches will not be running, all federal offices will be shut down and courts will be closed. Certain libraries may be closed, but trash collection and public transportation should run as usual. As far as school closings go, schools are not obligated to close on Veterans Day, so it is up to the individual school district.

In some areas, parking meters may be free and there are a number of sales and restaurant deals going on.
