‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5B Cast & Premiere Spoilers

At the end of season 5A, the Teen Wolf cast all was split up and now Scott (Tyler Posey) is trying to bring his friends all back together. Now, however, there’s even more danger and they must battle against new villains. One of the new villains is The Beast of Gévaudan, who showrunner Jeff Davis said was depicted in a painting in the Dread Doctors’ lab at the end of Season 5A. Davis told the IB Times:

Essentially, the whole season is about Scott and his pack and Theo [Cody Christian] and his pack getting caught between that and seeing if the city or town of Beacon Hills will survive it.

Character Malia (Shelley Hennig) still wants to kill her mother, the Desert Wolf (Marisol Nichols), but Scott is not necessarily on board with this. Hennig talks about her character’s yearning for revenge to TV Guide, explaining:

She wants revenge. Malia has had enough and no one can really stop her at this point. I feel like the Desert Wolf wants to mess with her a little more but Malia’s intention is to straight up kill her. This woman has essentially messed up her life and her family. Everything in Malia’s life has been shaped by what the Desert Wolf has done to her and Malia has nothing to lose.

On the other hand, Kira returns home, which helps her to build a relationship with her own mother.

Lydia (Holland Roden) is still stuck in Eichen House mental hospital and Roden told TV Guide:

Amplified [powers] in Lydia’s case means she has to go through a lot of pain. She doesn’t get to have fun with her powers. The more she gets grounded the more they have to contain her in some small, cold, often not very clean room. She’s constantly sweating and crying and trying to figure out why she’s locked in this room, [but] she’s very much the central piece of the puzzle.

In addition to what goes on with her own character, Roden talks about the new villain, The Beast, saying:

There is a special effect [for this new creature] that has never been seen on Teen Wolf before. We’ve had a lot of creatures, a lot of ears, blood, teeth and fur. We’ve had straps, leather, metal and bones, but this is different. You have not seen this effect yet.

One person who is in immediate danger this season is the town Sheriff. Scott and Stiles, though they are on the outs with each other a bit, must team up to figure out what mysterious infection has overtaking the Sheriff.

Overall this season, showrunner Davis says that some of the characters will find their ways back to the relationships they had with each other in season 1 … the goofy, fun and sincere relationships.

And, don’t forget about the Teen Wolf After After-Show, which returns this season as well. Check out a fun video to get you ready for it below.
