1. Negan is Introduced as a New Antagonist for Darryl, Abraham and Sasha

We return to Season 6 of The Walking Dead to see Darryl driving along a barren road with Abraham and Sasha riding with him. All of a sudden, they run into a group of bikers led by a new character named Negan. Negan makes it pretty clear that the three of them should hand over their weapons immediately. Darryl, Sasha, and Sasha are then forced to give up their sidearms to this new shady individual. Negan makes it very clear that him and his men want to see exactly where all three of them were heading back to.

The situation gets a whole hell of a lot worse when one of Negan’s henchman carts Darryl off to the back of his truck in order to see what else they’re hiding. Abraham questions who Negan really is, but is met with a violent response when Negan whips out his side pistol. Sasha tells him to wait and looks to calm the matter at hand. Negan seems to want nothing of it and pulls out a 2nd handgun. He points them right at Abraham and Sasha. Negan decides not to shoot them both down…at first. He looks to shoot them down once again. Out of nowhere, a massive explosion goes off. It turns out Darryl blew Negan and his gang to kingdom come with his rocket launcher. Darryl, Abraham and Sasha march off and return to their vehicle to continue their journey back home.

2. Glenn and Enid Prepared to Save Maggie

Back at Alexandria, the massive zombie horde marches on. Rick and his group walk through them slowly with their clothes covered in zombie remains. Sam looks the most worried as he glances at a Walker who’s insides are hanging out of his stomach. Rick and his group stop to go over a new plan – pick up their vehicles and make an escape. Father Gabriel opts to rescue baby Judith and take her back to his Church. Jessie wants Sam to go with him, but Sam makes it clear that he won’t leave his mother’s side. Gabriel promises to keep Rick’s baby daughter safe and goes on his way after Rick thanks him. Afterwards, the group continues to move among the undead.

Inside a basement, Tara and Rosita argue over what they should do next. They decide to hold off on rescuing Nurse Denise from the Wolf member. They tend to Carol and Morgan alongside Eugene. Glenn and Enid can be seen running into a Church while the Wolf member can be seen with Denise next to him. Glenn and Enid search for any remaining bullets inside the Church. Enid freezes in place when she notices a particular Bible scripture. She questions Glenn about he told her when they first met. While Glenn and Enid talk about the people that mattered to them, Denise and her kidnapper take refuge from the zombie horde next to them. The Wolf member tells Denise that they’ll have to make a break for it sooner rather than later.

Glenn and Enid concoct a plan to save Maggie from the predicament she’s in. Enid volunteers to distract the zombies below Maggie while Glenn works on his part of the plan. The Wolf member speaks to Denise about how he changed into the individual he is today. Enid ends up discovering a pistol while still searching inside the Church. They head off to save Maggie. Meanwhile, the Wolf member creeps out Denise even more with his strange proclamations.

3. A Ton of Rick’s Group Either Ends Up Dead or Severely Injured

It’s finally evening time. Alexandria’s undead population continues to growl and move along while Rick’s group stays in motion. Horrifying close-up images of the zombies start to emit over the screen while Carol’s scary words to Sam go through his head. Sam stands still in fear and then ends up getting chewed to death by a pair of Walkers. Jessie screams while her son gets eaten to death and ends up attracting another group of nearby zombies. Then Jessie ends up getting eaten herself.

Images of Jessie flash through Rick’s head, but he snaps back to reality to cut Carl loose from Jessie’s hand. Ron points a gun at the both of them and looks to shoot them, but Michonne cuts him down. Ron ends up firing two bullets into the air before he ends up becoming zombie dinner, too. Rick is then shocked to see that his son Carl has actually been hit in the eye by one of Ron’s shots. Rick picks up his son and follow Michonne as she cuts a path through the zombies in front of them.
