Ben Higgins has said several times that he would “marry his fiancee” tomorrow if he could and tonight, ABC decided to put his words to the test. The Bachelor brought Higgins’ pastor to the After the Final Rose Special and made sure that each of their families were waiting in the wings.
Unfortunately, Higgins and Bachelor winner Lauren Bushnell did not get married tonight. However, they did promise a big wedding in the future and said that it would be “soon”.
What Higgins did do, however, is surprise Bushnell with another proposal live, in front of her family. She was very touched and happy to share that with her loved ones.
Higgins and Bushnell told host Chris Harrison they want to officially date out in the open. Higgins wants to show off his fiancee and the two want to spend more time together before planning their nuptials. However, they are not wasting any time when it comes to moving forward. Bushnell is moving to Denver, Colorado soon to be with her man and the two couldn’t look happier together.
Both Higgins’ parents and Bushnell’s parents each stated that they couldn’t be happier about the couple, welcoming each of them into their family.
