When Kathy found out about her friend’s death, she posted a tweet of their last photo together, talking about how he had just been at her house, making everyone laugh. She said she loved him and would miss their talks together the most.
The two often appeared together in photos, such as this picture taken at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards in 2009. They were both in the 2001 movie Run Ronnie Run!, although Shandling had a starring role and Griffin had a cameo.
