Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher is the new star of The Bachelorette 2016 as it was announced on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose Special. At first, host Chris Harrison had to fake out the viewers for a second, but then he revealed that this season’s runner-up was, in fact, the new star. Check out the reveal in the below clip.
Previously, it had been reported that Caila Quinn would be the next Bachelorette, but Reality Steve reports that producers had a change of heart. According to the site, Quinn was picked as the star and even did a little filming in her hometown. But, producers recently decided they would rather go with Fletcher. Ouch.
On the show this season, Fletcher had some baggage dragged into her hometown date. From an ex-boyfriend who wanted her back to two very over-protective brothers, Fletcher was dealing with a lot of pressure. We wonder if any of these guys will play a role at some point during her season of The Bachelorette.
