The reported winner, exposed by Reality Steve, is said to be Lauren Bushnell. Steve stated:

Ben is with Lauren, he’s been with Lauren ever since Nov. 18th in Jamaica, they are engaged, and they are happy.

Bushnell was the first limo arrival as well as first contestant intro video viewers saw this season. Higgins told the cameras several times that he has been attracted to her from the moment he saw her.

For the last couple weeks, contestant Caila Quinn has been reported to be the next Bachelorette, but Reality Steve reports that ABC has had a change of heart. Reality Steve stated:

I received correspondence from someone telling me that Caila received a phone call Thursday night from producers who told her they were changing their mind and decided to go with JoJo as the “Bachelorette.”

Steve then added:

As for Caila and why she was filming in Ohio on March 3rd? Basically, she got played. They led her to believe it was her, she was convinced it was her, they shot her intro package that day in Ohio, then they told her at pretty much the last minute, “We decided to go with JoJo.” From everything I’ve heard, Caila is not happy, nor should she be. However, when you’re dealing with the slime that are these producers, you should always prepare yourself for the worst so that when it inevitably happens, you’re not disappointed.

So, do you think Caila or JoJo could be the next Bachelorette?

Higgins Tells His Parents That He Doesn’t Want to Let Either Woman Go

The finale takes place in Jamaica and Ben Higgins struggles with who he should pick as his fiancee. We get to meet his parents once again as Higgins talks with them and reveals to them that each girl is “too good to walk away from.”

While contestant Bushnell hits it off well with Mr. and Mrs. Higgins, she does have to work on Ben’s dad. ABC writes:

Lauren B. makes a lasting first impression with Ben’s parents, but she must win over his dad in particular. Jo Jo, although a little nervous, also leaves his folks equally impressed. Her vulnerability especially appeals to Ben’s mother. Although his parents have strong feelings for both women, Ben is still undecided.

ABC’s official synopsis of the finale reads:

Ben’s date with Lauren B. doesn’t go according to plan. His unexpected behavior sends this woman into panic mode. Then, during his final date with Jo Jo, she confesses that she cannot picture life without him. Although Jo Jo is confident of her feelings for Ben, he drops a bombshell. Instead of the dates bringing clarity to his situation, they leave him with more doubt.

When Higgins ends up sending home the cast-off, who is reported to be Fletcher, he cries that it “doesn’t feel right,” that she doesn’t deserve it, that he doesn’t want to say goodbye and that he still wants to have her in his life because he loves her so much.

At one point, Higgins tells Fletcher that he doesn’t know who he wants to propose to her, which fuels great worry within her. As for Bushnell, she does tell the cameras that she worries Higgins is also in love with Fletcher (which he is). Fortunately for her, Higgins said that after filming, he was honest with the winner, telling her that he had fallen in love with both remaining women.
