The Flash has left us with some serious cliffhangers and another week of waiting, but we’ve got spoilers. (Instagram)
Another Tuesday night and there is, still, no new episode of The Flash slated to appear on our TV tonight. We have to admit we’re more than just vaguely disappointed.
In fact, there won’t be a new episode of The Flash for quite some time. So, when does The CW superhero hit return? March 22. That’s another two weeks of waiting. Another two weeks of questions and another two weeks of wondering just how to explain that cliffhanger from the last episode.
Luckily, we’ve got spoilers and theories to fill all of that time. But before we dive into all of those, check out what exactly went down in the final minutes of the last episode of The Flash:
So, wait, how does this all make sense?
Basically there are four roles that Teddy Sears is playing right now on The Flash: Jay Garrick of Earth-1, Jay Garrick of Earth-2, Hunter Zolomon of Earth-1 and Hunter Zolomon of Earth-2.
All of this also shines some light on the identity of the man in the iron mask. After all is his face was covered by Zoom for a reason and it appears as if he might actually be the Jay Garrick from Earth-1. Got that? It’s getting all a little confusing we know.
Right now it appears the show is combining the story of Cobalt Blue and Zoom from the comics. Cobalt Blue – aka Malcolm Thawne – was the twin brother of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in the comics who grew up with a foster family and a consistently increasing bitterness towards his brother. In the show, however, it appears that Hunter is the twin of Jay and looking for some serious vengeance.
So, has Jay just been lying this whole time? He seemed so nice. He was so good to Caitlin! Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine: “I don’t think you can assume anything that Jay has said to the team or the audience is the full truth. It is a version of the truth.”
Well, fair enough.
