Last week was supposed to be the Season 3 premiere of TNT’s Murder in the First. Due to the horrific tragedy in Orlando, however, the premiere was postponed until tonight. The show was pushed back because the two-hour premiere of The Last Ship was delayed a week, and Murder in the First was consequently pushed back, as well.
The Season 2 finale left us with many unanswered questions, but according to CarterMatt, this season is shaping up to be “the most intense, harrowing season we’ve seen so far as the entire city of San Francisco could be up in arms.” The death of a high-profile athlete leads to disarray, and mounting tensions for Terry and Hildy. The website adds, “From here, it looks as though things could turn political and racially-charged over the shooting of a black man by the police, which of course has been a hot-button topic in the news and has also been featured in many other crime TV shows, whether it be ‘Chicago PD’ or ‘Blue Bloods.’”
