Harpers Ferry hotel Town’s Inn gets two episodes for this season of Hotel Hell, starting with Part 1 tonight. Karan Townsend is the innkeeper who needs to get catapulted into the present by Chef Gordon Ramsay. When Ramsay encounters the Town’s Inn, he reportedly comes into contact with some of the worst practices he has ever experienced. 1. Karan Townsend Hasn’t Owned a TV Since 1993

The show producers actually called Townsend three times to see if she would join the show, but she is very out of touch. According to Herald Mail Media, she hasn’t had a television since 1993, so she thought the producers were just trying to sell her something over the phone. Once Townsend grasped what she was being asked, her reply was, “I thought, ‘If the highest-paid chef in the world comes here, then I’ll listen.”


2. The Hotel Could Be Featured on an Episode of “Hoarders”

According to FOX, innkeeper Townsend is basically a hoarder on the show. The official plot synopsis of the episodes read:

Ramsay meets an inn owner who runs (her) establishment more like a second-hand store, hoarding personal items throughout the premises. (Ramsay) quickly discovers some of the worst practices he’s ever seen.


3. Two Buildings Make Up the Town’s Inn

There are two buildings that make up the inn. There’s The Heritage House with rooms and a full-service restaurant on the first floor. The restaurant is called Bistro 1860. The other building is called the Mountain Home and it features a hostel and a cafe.


4. The Inn Is Located in Harpers Ferry National Historical Park

This hotel is located right inside Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. The inn was originally Townsend’s son’s and his wife’s business and she moved to Harpers Ferry to help run it.


5. Owner Townsend Won’t Let Ramsay Hang Up His Clothes in His Hotel Room

When Ramsay is staying at the inn, he finds that his wardrobe closet is locked. Owner Townsend keeps it locked as it holds all her clothes.
