Disney and Lucasfilm will be releasing a new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Thursday. The trailer will be played during NBC’s primetime Olympics coverage. Disney also released a brief, 16-second teaser for the new trailer on Tuesday. This does include new footage, including a scene of the new U-Wing in action.

We got a preview of the U-Wing in a new episode of The Star Wars Show, a weekly online-exclusive program Lucasfilm produces to give Star Wars fans a peek at what’s coming soon. The ship isn’t like other members of the alphabet Wing ships used by the Rebellion. It’s actually a troop carrier, although it is outfitted with weapons. You can learn more details about the U-Wing in the video below.

Rogue One was directed by Godzilla‘s Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn. It is not Star Wars: Episode VIII. It is the first stand-alone Star Wars film, taking place just before the events of A New Hope. Jones plays Jyn Erso, an outlaw recruited to help the Rebel Alliance steal the plans to the first Death Star.

There have been questions surrounding the making of the film. Reports of reshoots surfaced in May and Michael Clayton filmmaker Tony Gilroy was brought on to help Edwards complete the film. On August 3, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Gilroy has taken on even more work to help the film get in shape and to create the final edit. Edwards is still working on the film.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16, almost exactly a year after Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
