WATCH: ‘Rogue One’ Toys Revealed in ‘Go Rogue’ Fan-Made Short

Disney and Lucasfilm began their Rogue One: A Star Wars Story marketing in earnest on August 30, releasing a fan-made, stop-motion animated video to showcase the toys for the new movie. The video, titled Go Rogue, is just the first part of an ongoing series created by fans through Tongal.

Here’s Chapter 2:

Fans can also enter the Go Rogue contest by making their own videos. Winners will be chosen by Rogue One director Gareth Edwards and others and winners get to see Rogue One and their sort films on the big screen. The contest starts on September 30.

However, the best aspect of the new video is that it gave fans a look at the new Rogue One toys from Hasbro, LEGO, Funko Pop, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel and Disney Store. Hasbro’s The Black Series 6″ Jyn Erso is the big star, alongside figures of Captain Cassian Andor and K-2SO. The LEGO and Hasbro Stormtroopers are clearly no match for the Rebels.

Entertainment Weekly also posted a gallery of Jyn Erso figures, as Hasbro tries to make sure last year’s “#WheresRey” fiasco doesn’t repeat itself.

Of course, many of these toys have already been seen by Star Wars fans. On August 24, Jedi Temple Archives posted leaked images of new Rogue One toys.

Rogue One toys will hit stores on September 30, which will be another Force Friday. Hopefully, it goes better than The Force Awakens‘ Force Friday in 2015 and the new toys will be easier to find on day one.

As for Rogue One the movie, it opens on December 16.
