Last night, the X Factor received its lowest viewing ratings in ten years, according to Mirror. The show, which peaked last year at $7.9 million, had only $6.8 million viewers on Saturday evening. Despite the underwhelming audience size, critic Isabel Mohan was “impressed by the first episode”, writes the Telegraph. Tonight, Cowell and the rest of the judges will return for night two of the show’s weekend premiere.

In an exclusive interview with Mirror Online, the singer said, “Nathan left us in the middle of the night. The doctors put it down to cot death because it happened under unexplained circumstances. They didn’t have any answers. It just happened one morning when we woke up.”
