Johnson is posting Snapchat videos, which a fan is sharing on Twitter. Gilinsky was released from custody just after 5:00 p.m. ET.

Here is what we know so far about the arrest and the duo.

1. A Police Officer Stopped Gilinsky to Question Him About a Sweatshirt

At 12:39 p.m. ET, Johnson shared the above video, which shows Gilinsky being questioned by a police officer as he carries a red sweatshirt in one hand and his bag in the other.

In another video Johnson shared on Snapchat, Gilinsky is leaning against the wall as security decides what to do with Gilinsky. Johnson jokes that they aren’t leaving the airport.

2. Johnson Says That Gilinsky Offered to Pay for the Sweatshirt, but the Store Manager Wanted Him to Go to Jail

In the next video, seen above, Johnson explains that Gilinsky offered to pay for the sweatshirt he took, but the manager of the store still wanted him to go to jail. Johnson says in the video that Gilinsky “accidentally stole the sweatshirt.”

In another video, Johnson said that the “manager b**h” is being “petty” and that the police officers even think that Gilinsky is innocent.

4. Jack & Jack Plan to Release a New Album Soon

Johnson and Gilinksy first gained fame through their popular Vine posts. Their biggest hit was “Wild Life,” which reached No. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Omaha-natives released their first EP, Calibraska, in 2015 and Johnson promises that their first album is coming soon.

“All Weekend Long” will appear on the new album.

Their biggest success as Vine stars came in August 2013, when The Huffington Post declared their Eric And Winston Nerd Graffiti video the “perfect Vine.”

The two also wrote a book called Jack & Jack: You Don’t Know Jacks.

Their media empire also includes the apps Jack & Jack Vines Game and Let It Goat. They came up with Let It goat while interning for SkyVu Entertainment.

5. They Have Over 1.4 Million YouTube Subscribers & the Video for “Like That” Has Over 25 Million Views

Jack & Jack’s YouTube page has over 1.4 million followers. Of course, that’s little compared to their huge Vine following, as they have 6.2 million followers there.

Their most popular YouTube video is “Like That,” featuring Skate. The video has over 25 million views.

“We try to cover most people’s interests, that way we think we can get as large of a fan base as possible,” Johnson said in an interview with Omaha.com. “Maybe some people will like some of our Vines, but they won’t like others, but that’s OK, because we think they’ll follow us because of the ones they do like.”

Gilinsky is dating Madison Beer, a singer who gained fame after Justin Bieber tweeted a link to one of her videos.
