Tonight was the 2016 Miss USA Pageant, with 52 contestants involved in the competition. So, who was crowned the winner? And the winner is … Miss Arkansas Savvy Shields.
The winner gets a $50,000 scholarship and a six-figure salary.
The fourth runner-up with a $10,000 scholarship was Miss Mississippi, the third runner-up was Miss Washington with a $15,000 scholarship, and the second runner-up who won a $20,000 scholarship was Miss New York. This left four women waiting to find out their fates. And the first runner-up was Miss South Carolina.
The winner was crowned by Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell.
Before the contestants were announced as runners-up and winners, the women talked with host Sage Steele about being on edge and so excited to hear the results.
