Producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo behind The LEGO Movie and Last Man on Earth, will unleash a new comedy on television Saturday night. Son of Zorn, a new single-cam sitcom that mixes live action and animation, debuts on Fox at 8 p.m. ET, following NFL football coverage.

The series was created by Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne. It stars former Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis (who also appeared on Last Man) as the voice of Zorn, a He-Man-style character who travels to Orange County, California. It turns out that he has a real-life ex-wife Edie (Cheryl Hines) and a teenage son (Johnny Pemberton), so he hopes to acclimate with an average lifestyle to reconnect with them. Unfortunately for Zorn, his ex-wife is about to get married to Craig (Tim Meadows).

In an interview with Fox News, Hines said that the show will make people as uncomfortable as they are while watching Curb Your Enthusiasm.

“Just like when I started shooting Curb Your Enthusiasm, I would drive home thinking I’m not sure everybody is going to appreciate Larry David and what is funny about him and of course they do,” she said. “There are a few here and there that say ‘Larry makes me uncomfortable’ and I say ‘yeah that’s the point.’ Zorn is going to make some people uncomfortable and that’s also the point.”

Tonight’s airing of the pilot is planned as a preview, since episode two won’t air until Sunday, September 25.
