3. Kay Has Also Directed the Films ‘Get Carter’ & ‘Boogeyman’

Although Kay has spent most of his career in television, he has often found time to make films. His first was 1997’s The Last Time I Committed Suicide with Keanu Reeves and he followed that up with the 2000 remake of Get Carter with Sylvester Stallone. In 2005, he directed the horror film Boogetman with Barry Watson.

In an interview with IGN at the time of Boogeyman‘s release, Kay said he enjoyed “implied horror” in horror movies. However, in this case, he decided that it was right to show the monster to the audience.

“My taste is not that as a rule, so I was going, ‘let’s put it in his head; let’s make it in the shadows and make it sort of as non-literal as possible. [But] the actual boogeyman became progressively more literal, which for me I would have honestly preferred a more obscured creature. But it’s fine,” Kay said.

Since Boogyman, Kay’s films have mostly stayed in the horror genre. His most recent was 2011’s The Craigslist Killer, which aired on Lifetime.

At the time, Longoria was dating basketball player Tony Parker and they married in 2007. They divorced in 2011. As for Hatcher, she’s been divorced from her second husband, Jon Tenney, since 2003.

5. Before They Married, Perabo Called Him Her Dream Dinner

In an interview with The New Potato before they married, Perabo was asked who she would include in a dream dinner with any five people, dead or alive. She included Kay.

Stephen Kay, Phyllis Diller, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jon Stewart, and Michael Symon. I’d politely ask Chef Symon to help me cook. Then I’d go find an extra chair and ask Diana Vreeland if she’d wiggle in, because we just can’t do without her.
