Toronto International Film Festival 2016: The Top 10 Movies You Need to See

September sees the kick off of the awards season, with the Venice Film Festival already underway and the Telluride Film Festival already wrapped up. On Thursday, September 8, the all-important Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) kicks off with a screening of Antoine Fuqua's remake of The Magnificent Seven.

The new film stars Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt, who replace Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, the stars of the 1960 original. Washington is called upon to save a town from bandits and rounds up a group of rascals and outlaws to do the job. Seven is a reunion for Fuqua, Washington and Ethan Hawke, who all worked on Training Day. Fuqua and Washington also collaborated on the smash hit The Equalizer. Seven will be released nationwide on September 23, but if you're luck enough to be in Toronto, you can catch it early.
