"Dancing With the Stars" Cast - Remaining Contestants 10/10/2016
The competition continues for the 23rd season of Dancing With the Stars. Last week, there was a double elimination with Rob Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice) and Kenneth Edmonds (Babyface) being sent home. In addition, two of the pro dancers on the show, Sasha Farber and Emma Slater, got engaged live during the show's broadcast. This week, the scheduling changes, with the show only airing once each week, which will mean that eliminations will be crammed into Monday night episodes. This lso means there will be no Tuesday night Results show. As for tonight's show, it is a tradition on DWTS to have a "most memorable year" theme night. Tonight we get a deeper look inside the lives of the contestants as they showcase highs and lows, along with emotional moments. The official ABC synopsis of what to expect to see tonight reads: Each couple will dance to a song of the celebrity’s choosing that encompasses a memorable time or truly incredible experience in their life. These heartfelt performances promise to showcase some of the most exciting choreography and emotional routines of the season yet. Viewers can expect to see Jana Kramer dancing with joy to celebrate when her daughter, Jolie Rae, was born in 2016; James Hinchcliffe re-living the moment when he almost died in a car crash while practicing for the Indy 500 in 2015; and Laurie Hernandez celebrating competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics as a member of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team and winning the gold, to name a few.Each celebrity will perform a Viennese waltz, paso doblé, tango, jazz, contemporary, foxtrot or samba. In addition, international phenomenon André Rieu, known to millions around the world as “The King of the Waltz,” is set to perform.
