Abby Lee Miller Fraud Charges & Guilty Sentencing Updates – 11/1/2016

Abby Lee Miller is currently facing $5 million in fines and up to five years in jail, according to Deadline, after pleading guilty to multiple charges. Though, at first, Miller entered a plea of “not-guilty,” on June 27, 2016, she submitted a guilty plea after being indicted in October 2015. Miller was charged with 20 counts of fraud and a brand new charge brought up this year for violating currency reporting laws.

Now, Miller’s sentencing has been pushed to January 2017. U.S. Attorney David Hickton explained:

Sentencing in the above captioned cases is tentatively set for Friday, December 2, 2016. Due to a scheduling conflict, government counsel is unavailable on that date …the Government respectfully requests that the sentencing date be continued until Friday, January 20, 2017, at a time convenient for the court.

Miller’s serious legal issues have made their way onto her reality show Dance Moms and she’s actively been trying to avoid talking to the mothers on the show about the situation. Now there is speculation that Miller may quit the show, especially if she receives a hefty jail sentence.

Do you think this is the end of Dance Moms?
