Jessica Chastain is notoriously private, and when the Miss Sloane actress isn’t busy filming, she stays out of the spotlight and maintains a low profile. In recent years, however, Chastain has started to share portions of her private life on her Instagram, where you can sometimes catch a pic of her longtime boyfriend, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.
According to The Daily Mail, the two began dating in 2012, and still appear to be going strong today. In April, they were seen snapping selfies together in Los Angeles, and in a November interview with USA Today, she dished, “Gian Luca and I have been together for such a long time, we’re in it for the long haul.”

Gian Luca is a fashion executive for the French label Moncler, according to Pop Sugar. In 2013, a source told US Weekly, “He is a classy guy and completely agrees about respecting their relationship and not flaunting it. They’ve been dating seriously for a while now, and Gian really likes her.”
Chastain was dating Gian Luca at the time of the 2013 Oscars, though she chose to walk the red carpet with her grandmother (the couple was keeping their relationship under wraps back then.) After the event, she told US Weekly online, “I’m very very happy. It’s a wonderful thing when a career does so well and your personal life does so well.” Chastain added on, “My friends and my family are so important to me.”
Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo may not be a household name, but that isn’t too surprising– Chastain isn’t attracted to fellow celebs. In 2014, she told The Telegraph that she refrains from dating other actors because it “puts a magnifying glass on you… If you want to be really famous, then date another famous person. But the fame is not the part of my life that I am excited about.”
