American rock band Linkin Park has returned with the announcement of their new album “One More Light” and with that comes a new single “Heavy”. The track features Kiiara and is more subdued than their earlier work. With light drums the instrumentation is mostly focused around the piano.
The album, scheduled to come out in May, will be the group’s 7th full-length album. The group also revealed the cover art which features six kids playing in the ocean.
This isn’t all the band is giving fans today though. At 3pm EST on their Facebook live channel the band will be having a live performance. Linkin Park interviewed with Billboard and discussed the different sound of “Heavy” and the rest of the album. “One of the reasons why we chose “Heavy” as the first single is because it is really the core sound of the album.”.
