In the next episode of The CW’s Riverdale is finally on its way. Like every episode of the first season so far, episode four is also titled after a movie. “The Last Picture Show” debuts at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, February 16. Read on for a preview of the next chapter.
“The Last Picture Show” is all about Miss Grundy and the lies she’s told everyone in Riverdale. Just as it looks like Archie’s dad is starting to like her, Grundy turns up the heat on hr relationship with Archie. But, based on the preview for the episode, it looks like Betty and Veronica will find out that not everything is as it seems with Grundy. They even start suspecting that she has something to do with Jason Blossom’s murder.
Meanwhile, Betty’s mother Alice decides to take a look at Betty’s diary and learns a few secrets about Archie that could ruin his perfect image. Jughead also has his own fight too, as he tries to keep a local drive-in from getting destroyed.
In a new interview with MTV News, Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, suggested that Juhead and Veronica’s status as outsiders could help them solve Jason’s murder.
“They’re trying to solve Jason’s murder because they think their legal system is completely corrupt and being manipulated by the Blossoms,” Reinhart said. “So they take it upon themselves to find what they think is the truth. They’re little sleuths, and they sure as hell don’t think that Sheriff Keller or the Blossoms are trustworthy. It’s very Nancy Drew.”
