Iron Fist centers on Danny Rand, played by former Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones. The series begins with his return to New York City, 15 years after everyone thought a plane crash killed him and his parents. In the meantime, others have taken control of his family’s company, but he wants it back. He’s also been trained in martial arts and ready to do what it takes to restore his family legacy and be the Iron Fist.

The Iron First character was created by Roy Thomas, Gil Kane and Bill Everett and debuted in Marvel Premiere in 1974. The character is closely associated with Luke Cage, ever since they co-starred in their own Power Man and Iron Fist series in the 1970s.

The trailer also reveals that Rosario Dawsnon’s Claire Temple will co-star. She’s appeared in Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. All four heroes will team up in The Defenders, which is now in production.

Iron First was developed for television by Scott Buck, who is known for his work on Dexter, Rome and Six Feet Under.
