‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2017 Cast: Meet the Season 24 DWTS Contestants

David Ross

Athlete Ross is paired with Lindsay Arnold on the show this season and the couple is said to be dancing the Quickstep for their premiere routine. In addition, NBC Chicago has reported that the duo will be performing to Steve Goodman’s “Go Cubs Go" song. This should really get Cubs fans on board. Ross is a two-time World Series Champion and the first MLB star to be on Dancing With the Stars. In his 15-year sports career, ABC states that he's been a part of all of the following teams: Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. Currently, Ross works as an author, a Special Assistant for the Chicago Cubs and a Baseball Analyst for ESPN on TV. His book “Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Age" is set to be published this coming May 2017. In an interview with Us Weekly, Ross dished on how rehearsals are going with his new partner Arnold. Ross said: It’s been way better than I thought it would be! I was so nervous ... Well, I’m still going to be nervous to get out in front of millions of people and actually dance live, that’s still a scary thought, but Lindsay’s been a great teacher. The practices are hard, but they’re fun! It’s fun to learn something new. Ross retired from baseball in 2016. (ABC/Craig Sjodin)
