Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
No matter what Hugh Jackman does for the rest of his life, he will always be known as Wolverine. He's now ready to finally move on from playing the Mutant with Adamantium claws and Logan is his swan song. Loosely based on the acclaimed Mark Millar and Steve McNiven graphic novel Old Man Logan, the story is set far in the future - 2029 to be exact. Logan finds himself living on the Texas-Mexico border and asked to take a young girl named Laura to North Dakota. He also takes along a senile Charles Xavier and learns that Laura isn't just any little girl - she's X-23.
Jackman has insisted that he will never play Wolverine again after this film. It's his third solo Wolverine movie and he's been playing the character since 2000's X-Men. Director James Mangold, who also helmed The Wolverine, said last year that Jackman even took a pay cut to get 20th Century Fox to release the film with an R-rating. Although Logan was already in production by the time Deadpool came out, it's safe to say that Deadpool's success helped get the movie that rating. So far, the film has been a critical success, earning a 94 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. For those curious, the film runs 2 hours and 17 minutes.
