It is finally coming. On tonight’s episode of Fox’s New Girl, we will finally learn what Schmidt’s first name is. This has been the biggest mystery on the show, as creator Liz Meriwether wouldn’t even reveal it when Schmidt and Cece got married in season five. The new episode, “San Diego,” airs on Fox at 8:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 28. Read on for a preview of the new episode.

THE BIGGEST REVEAL IN NEW GIRL HISTORY HAPPENS THIS TUESDAY 😱😱😱
The previous episode of New Girl was “Misery,” which brought back Rob Reiner to play Jess’ dad Bob Day. Jess has fled to her hometown of Portland to get as far away from Nick as possible, since she can’t do anything about the fact that she loves him. (Zooey Deschanel is also pregnant, which might explain why the writers have her sitting down a lot and have relocated the character to Portland.) Reiner also appears in “San Diego,” along with guest actress Donna Pescow.
Back in Los Angeles, Nick tries to get help from Aly, who doesn’t want to be his Jess replacement. Schmidt is also going to consider using his first name finally. Publicity photos released by Fox also show that we have scenes from Nick and Schmidt’s college days coming in the episode.
