Radio Disney Music Awards 2017: Is It Too Late to Vote?

Is there still time to vote for the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards? Unfortunately, voting is now closed.

Voting began at 4pm PT on Friday, March 3, 2017, and ended on Sunday, April 9, 2017. The winners in each category will be named Saturday, April 29, 2017, beginning at 3:30 pm PT/6:30 pm ET at the Microsoft Theater LIVE in LA.

The categories for tonight’s awards go as follows: Best Group, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Song of the Year, Best Crush Song, Fiercest Fans, Breakout Artist of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Song that Makes You Smile, Radio Disney’s Favorite Social Media Star, Best Sop to Lip Sync To, Best Dance Track, Best Breakup Song, Radio Disney Country Favorite Song, Radio Disney Country Favorite Artist, Radio Disney Country Best New Artist, Radio Disney Favorite Tour, Best Collaboration, and Mejor Artista Espanol.

Fans were able to cast their votes online at http://www.disney.com/RDMA or through a mobile app or using Facebook, Twitter, or Google OneBox. Voters were allowed unlimited votes per day in the timeframe mentioned above.

The RDMA’s will feature performers like Hailee Steinfeld, Sofia Carson, and Kelsea Ballerini. (Britney Spears fans should be excited to learn that the three will be performing a medley of the pop star’s biggest hits.) Britney herself will be in attendance, as she’ll be receiving the first-ever RDMA Icon Award.

Hosts for tonight include Joran Fisher, Kelsea Ballerini, Sofia Carson, Jenna Ortega, and Alex Aiono. In a recent interview with Hollywood Life, Carson, 24, dished, “I am so excited. The first RDMAs that I went to was my first red carpet…. I’ve always wanted to host an awards show, so I’m really excited for the opportunity. It’s going to be a really special show.”
