‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2017 Contestants – Season 24 Semi-Finals

Normani Kordei

Normani Kordei has been traveling all over the world with her girl group Fifth Harmony and DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy has been right at her side to help her rehearse in her off time. On the show this season, Kordei has continued to excel each week, though she has ended up in the bottom of the votes a time or two. In an interview with Billboard, Kordei talked about her experience so far on Dancing With the Stars, saying: It's crazy to see how many stages it takes because we have a week to prepare and rehearse. And sometimes I have rehearsals from like 3 to 4 hours maybe a day. It's easy to see the growth within even 4 hours of rehearsing, and there are so many stages that it goes through ... I'm just really pushing and challenging myself. I am quicker than I thought! According to Kordei, one issue she sometimes struggles with is keeping up with the movements in certain routines. Another problem that also recently came up is an injury, but she seems to be healing. On tonight's show, Kordei is performing a Jazz routine to the song “What a Wonderful World” by Ray Chew Live. In addition, for the Judges' Challenge, she and Chmerkovskiy have been matched with Len Goodman to deliver a Viennese Waltz to “Desperado” by Rihanna. Recently, Chmerkovskiy spoke with ET Online about partner Kordei and said that: I'm very proud of how far she's come. I think she's made a really strong case to be the winner this season, but we will see. What was also an interesting reveal recently, was that cast-off, bull rider Bonner Bolton told ET Online that it "would be an honor to go on a date" with Kodei.
