The winner in the ‘Trending’ category will be announced at the fan festival leading up to the broadcast, and the ‘Best Musical Moment’ winner will be revealed during the ceremony.

This year’s awards are special for many reasons, but two in particular: 1) the show will now feature movies and television, which it hasn’t in past years and 2) men and women both be competing in the ‘Best Actor’ category, meaning both Emma Watson and Hugh Jackman will fight it out for the win.

Leading the pack tonight with six nominations is Jordan Peele’s Get Out. The film has been nominated for Movie of the Year and Next Generation Star, Daniel Kaluuya. Moonlight is up for three awards tonight: Best Kiss for Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome, as well as Best American Story. On the TV side of things, Stranger Things is up for four nominations– Show of the Year, Demogorgon for Best Villain, Millie Bobby Brown for Best Actor in a Show, and Millie Bobby Brown for Best Hero.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards will be hosted by Adam Devine, who fans may recognize from Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 as well as Neighbors, The Intern, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. The 33-year-old is dating Chloe Bridges, who he met on the set of The Final Girls.

Tonight’s awards will air on MTV at 8pm ET/PT.
