On tonight’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner’s memoir “The Secrets of My Life” are not well-received by his children, step-kids and ex-wife Kris Jenner. And, it’s clear today that Jenner’s relationship with some of his family has been severely damaged. Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have talked about the downfall of their connection to their ex-step-father. Recently, Kim appeared on Watch What Happens Live and told host Andy Cohen that there was only a one percent chance of her mother Kris ever speaking with Jenner again.
So, what did Caitlyn Jenner say about the family and her marriages that was so offensive? According to Bravo, one of the quotes from the book that may have struck a nerve with Kris and her kids:
I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her. I told her there had been a woman inside me all my life.
In a reported by Cosmopolitan, another quote from the book that revealed the Kardashians were “purposely left out” of Jenner’s 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer stated:
They are right to feel slighted. They were slighted on purpose because of research showing that anytime a Kardashian is on television, many in the public tend to think it is a publicity stunt to make money.
Jenner also wrote about his damaged relationship with step-daughter Khloe Kardashian, saying:
Khloe has the hardest time with it. It is something Khloé and I should talk about privately, as we have on many occasions on other sensitive subjects. But we have not, although I have tried. We have not been the same since.
When Jenner’s family heard about some of the things she said in her book, they became very upset, showing their emotions on their reality show. Daughter Kendall told mom Kris that:
I heard about all the stuff that she was saying in it and just how a lot of it’s so not true. The weird part is, I don’t think it’s purposeful lying. I think she really just thinks that’s what happened for some weird reason … And then she goes around dissing the Kardashians, but it’s like, those are the kids that you raised! If you have a problem with them, you raised them! That makes no sense to me that she would go around bashing us for no reason. It’s insane, mom! That’s insane!
And Kris’ reaction was:
It could have been handled in the most amazing, loving way. Talk about your journey and keep it to that—that I would have had great respect for. Don’t talk about, in a real negative way, everything was like I am such a bad person. There’s lies that are printed in a book that lives there for the end of time. So, your children are going to read this book about their grandparent and have a story that’s fabricated. That’s in print and is a fabrication.
