The new Lifetime movie this weekend dramatizes one of the most horrific subjects that remains a real danger in the Internet age: sex trafficking. Daughter For Sale stars Emily Rose as a mother who has to help save her runaway teen daughter from being sold into sex slavery. Read on to meet the rest of the cast.
Daughter For Sale debuted on Lifetime Movie Network last month, but it makes its debut on the main Lifetime network on Saturday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The plot for the film, written by first-time screenwriter Vesta Giles, centers on Carly O’Neil, a teenager who runs away from home. She finds herself on a boat to anther country and is close to being sold into sex slavery. Her mother, Annalise, is a judge and she has to find her daughter and save her, or possibly lose her forever. Although not based on a specific true story, it is similar to the experience of a girl named “Natalie,” who was the subject of a 2016 ABC News Nightline special. The man who forced Natalie to perform sex acts for money, Barut Hopson, was sentenced to 26 and a half years in prison in 2011.
It was directed by Farhad Mann, whose other TV movie directing credits include Can’t Buy Me Love (2017), Twist of Fate, Hopeless, Romantic, The Game of Love, Fatal Memories and Til Death Do Us Part.

Emily Rose is the lead star of Daughter for Sale, as she plays Annalise O’Neil, the concerned mother and judge who tries to save her daughter from a life of sex slavery. Rose is best known for playing Trish Merrick on Jericho and Dr. Tracy Martin on ER. She also starred as Audrey Partker in the Syfy series Haven, which ran from 2010 to 2015. In 2013, Rose was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Haven.
Emily Tennant as Carly O’Neil

Emily Tennant plays the teen Carly, who runs away from home and finds herself in a horrible situation. Tennant was a child actress in the early 2000s, finding small roles in The Rhino Brothers, I, Robot and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. In 2005, she played Krista Rodman in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
More recent credits for Tennant include When We Rise, A Surrogate’s Nightmare, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, Motive, Cedar Cove and Truth & Lies.
Samuel Patrick Chu as Mitch
Samuel Patrick Chu plays Mitch in Daughter for Sale. He’s had small roles in the movies Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Martian Child. He recently played a “frightened soldier” in an episode of Once Upon A Time. He plays Andy Wang on Bravo’s Imposters.

John Gallant is played by Antonio Cupo. Cupo was recently seen in Lifetime’s high-profile remake of Baaches. He also plays Nick in Ice, a series exclusive to AT&T and DirecTV’s Audience Network. Linda Darlow as Stacy
Linda Darlow plays Stacy in Daughter for Sale. She was recently seen in the “Eat, Pray, Liv” episode of The CW’s iZombie. She was also seen in a 2012 episode and a 2017 episode of Supernatural, playing two different roles. Her other credits include The Accused, Immediate Family, Hitched for the Holidays, Season’s Greetings and The Game of Love.
