Fans will have to wait until next week, on June 19, 2017, for another new episode of the show. Instead of The Bachelorette, tonight will be all basketball. At 8 p.m. ET/PT, there will be a special half-hour episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live for game night, followed by an NBA Countdown to the finals. Then, the 2017 NBA Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors will air from 9 – 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Perhaps having a little break is good for the Bachelor franchise, as there is some major chaos going on with the franchise right now, after allegations of sexual misconduct arose on the first day of filming for Bachelor in Paradise. And, it looks like it may be the end for the series as a result. FOX News reported that contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson were getting “hot and heavy” in the pool while cameras were filming. Something happened with their behavior, which made a “third party” feel uncomfortable. And, according to TMZ, a field producer filed an official complaint, claiming that Olympios was too drunk to consent to Jackson’s advances, which Jackson reportedly said involved oral sex. Another issue was that producers reportedly allowed the behavior to take place. A source told Entertainment Tonight that:

Everyone is just going about their business … producers are everywhere. That’s when a ‘third party’ felt uncomfortable, claiming misconduct in the workplace.

Now that we’ve got the latest news on the franchise, let’s narrow our focus to next week’s episode of The Bachelorette. The official ABC synopsis of what to expect reads:

The contentious cocktail party continues, as a frustrated Eric implores the rest of bachelors to stop talking about him to Rachel. While most of the men are perfectly content to skip the drama, one calculating guy, Lee, deceptively steals Rachel away from Kenny for a second conversation. The two bachelors’ confrontation sets off a heated argument, totally distracting Rachel as she attempts to better acquaint herself with the other men. So she makes a decision that surprises all of the bachelors. After the rose ceremony, the remaining men leave the mansion to travel to beautiful, peaceful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where Rachel hopes to get a fresh start.

Next week, The Bachelorette will resume its normal schedule.
