A truly amazing mom. Miss her every day.

Jack Stone was originally Jack Oberstein, but Reality Steve reports that Oberstein changed his name in order to pay tribute to his late mother. Gayle Siegel Oberstein passed away in 2003, when Stone was still in college, according to her obituary, and she battled cancer for six years before succumbing to the disease. In her obituary, it stated that:

Gayle was a lovingly devoted and nuturing mother to her son, Jack Oberstein, currently a senior at Hillcrest High School of which Gayle was also a graduate. She was ever proud of his every accomplishment throughout her short 18 years with him.

In an interview with ABC, Stone spoke fondly of his mom, saying:

While battling cancer, she always stayed positive and had a zest for life until the very end.

Stone’s mother had a long-standing career in real estate prior to her passing.

2. Outside the Show Stone Works As an Attorney

Just like Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay, Stone is an attorney and he works for Winstead PC. His professional overview on the firm’s website reads:

Jack is a member of Winstead’s Real Estate Finance, Default Resolution & Servicing Practice Group. He represents local, national, and multinational companies in a variety of real estate matters, including the origination and servicing of commercial real estate loans, and the securitization of financing arrangements for the CMBS market. Prior to joining Winstead, Jack practiced at an international Am Law 100 law firm in Dallas. Jack has been a licensed real estate agent since 2007.

In his career thus far, Stone has won several awards for his achievements.

3. He Is Not the Winner This Season

Unfortunately for fans of Stone, Reality Steve reports that he is not the winner. Originally, Steve reported that contestant Peter Kraus was the man who got engaged to Rachel Lindsay by the end of the season. However, Reality Steve has since corrected his first report and said that Dr. Bryan Abasolo is the actual winner.

4. Stone Gets Eliminated On His First Solo Date With Rachel Lindsay

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay goes on two solo dates. The first one is with contestant Dean Unglert and the two ride in a blimp together. They also slow dance at a concert and have a very romantic time. As for Jack Stone, his date does not run as smoothly, since Reality Steve reports that Stone gets sent home on his one-on-one date.

5. When It Comes to Women, He Wants to Do the Chasing

The Bachelorette may be the perfect competition for Stone, who tells ABC that he likes to do the chasing when it comes to women. And, when it comes to the best date that Stone has ever been on, he said it was:

The 48-hour date, where we just didn’t want to leave each other. It was very easy to be with each other.

It unfortunately looks like there won’t be any 48-hour dates in Stones future with Rachel Lindsay.
