Kate Beckinsale has moved on to a younger man.
On Wednesday, the British actress was caught kissing 21-year-old Matt Rife, who’s made some appearances on the small screen. E! News recently confirmed that the two have been dating for the past few months.

1. He Is 22 Years Younger Than Beckinsale

Beckinsale may be over twice her new man’s age (she’s also two years older than his mother), but neither seem to care. On Tuesday, Rife went to Instagram with a post that read: “Age is just a number ♥ Find someone you love, and take their breath away…even if that means putting a kink in their oxygen tank cord. #LifeAlertTypeOfLove.” The post has since been deleted, according to E Online.
ET reports, the pair met through a mutual friend. Neither has directly commented on the relationship. Their romance comes about eight months after Beckinsale and her ex-husband, Len Wiseman, divorced after 12 years of marriage.
Beckinsale has one daughter with Michael Sheen, who she dated from 1995 to 2003. Lily Mo Sheen is 18, just three year’s younger than Rife.
2. Rife Is a Stand-Up Comedian
Rife is a stand-up comedian and has performed at comedy clubs like The Laugh Factory in Hollywood. His Instagram bio reads, “Comedian/Actor/Aspiring Instagram Hoe?. MTVs Wild N Out. Disney XD. Los Angeles! My grandma was Elvis’ side-chick. Twitter: @ItsMattRife SC: Rife9”
The 21-year-old got his start as a comedian when he was just 15, and has toured the country with his acts. He’s performed with D.L. Hughley, Tommy Davidson, Ralphie May, Dane Cook, Jokoy, and Erik Griffin, according to his Facebook page.
3. He’s Part of MTV’s ‘Wild ‘N Out’
Rife has appeared on Nick Cannon’s ‘Wild ‘N Out’ a number of times. He’s listed under the cast members section of the website, where it states he’s best known for his breakout performances on season 7 of ‘Wild ‘N Out’.
Kate, as most know, is no stranger to the screen. In her new film, The Only Living Boy in New York, she becomes involved in a relationship with her lover’s younger son. The movie stars Pierce Brosnan, Cynthia Nixon, Beckinsale, and Jeff Bridges. The college graduate is played by Callum Turner.
4. He and Beckinsale Were Photographed Kissing in West Hollywood on Wednesday
On Wednesday, Beckinsale and Rife were caught kissing in West Hollywood. Check out the photos, obtained by Hawt Celebs, here. The new couple appear to have been leaving the Villa Lounge in LA at the time when they shared the passionate embrace.
ET reports that Kate’s close friends are fans of Matt. A source explained to the outlet, “Everyone in Kate’s circle loves Matt and are so supportive of this relationship. He really is the sweetest guy and makes her so happy! Her entire family thinks he is the nicest and most lovely person.”
5. He’s From a Small Town in Ohio
According to his Facebook Fan Page, Rife is originally from a small town in Ohio.
