Marvel’s Inhumans are finally coming to the big and small screen thanks to ABC and a unique partnership with IMAX. The first two episodes will be screened in IMAX theaters three weeks before they are shown on ABC. Fans at San Diego Comic Con will get to see the episodes even earlier, as they were shown during the 6:15 p.m. PST panel on July 20. Read on to meet the main cast of the series.
The first two episodes of Marvel’s Inhumans will air on September 29, after the IMAX screenings start on September 1. It’s a unique release plan, and the IMAX screenings will run two weeks. It follows HBO’s successful Game of Thrones IMAX release in 2015.

Inhumans began as a movie, which was supposed to be released in November 2018. It would have been the 20th Marvel Studios movie. A few months after that, the Inhumans species was finally introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the second season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. In April 2016, the film was pulled, and Marvel and ABC began talking about developing Inhumans as a TV series.
Scott Buck, who also worked on Marvel’s Iron Fist at Netflix, is Inhumans‘ showrunner. Like SHIELD, Inhumans is part of the MCU. “Things that have happened on S.H.I.E.L.D. will potentially affect our show as well,” Buck told Entertainment Weekly.

Anson Mount as Black Bolt

Anson Mount is best known for playing Cullen Bohannon on AMC’s Hell on Wheels. He also starred in the films In Her Shoes, Safe and Non-Stop. His other TV credits include Conviction, Line of Fire and The Mountain. His role in Inhumans is unique, since Black Bolt can’t speak, as his voice can cause destruction. He is the King of Attilan and the head of the Inhuman Royal Family.
Iwan Rheon as Maximus

Iwan Rheon is best known for playing the evil, twisted Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones. In Inhumans, he plays Black Bolt’s brother Maximus, who no longer has the Inhuman gene. His relationship with his brother is similar to Loki’s relationship with Thor. Rheon also starred on Misfits, Vicious and Riviera.
Serinda Swan as Medusa
Serinda Swan, Iwan Rheon and Anson Mount.
Medusa, who has the power to control her long hair, is the wife of Black Bolt and Queen of Attilan. Actress Serinda Swan is best known for her roles in TRON: Legacy and Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. She also starred on USA Network’s Graceland and plays Chloe in the new season of HBO’s Ballers with Dwayne Johnson.
Isabelle Cornish as Crystal

Isabelle Cornish plays Medusa’s sister, Crystal. She’s the youngest member of the Inhumans Royal Family and has the power to control the elements. Inhumans is a breakout role for Cornish, since she only has a few other credits to her name. She also starred in Puberty Blues, Home And Away and Australia Day.
Sonya Balmores as Auran

Sonya Balmores plays Auran, who leads the Attilan Royal Guards. She’s loyal to Black Bolt and has a no-nonsense personality. Balmores previously starred in Soul Surfer, Beyond The Break and Kuleana. Like Swan, she also has a role in the new season of Ballers.
Ken Leung as Karnak

Ken Leung plays Karnak, a cousin of Black Bolt. He’s a close adviser to the King. Leung is best known for his role as Miles Straume on Lost, and also stars on NBC’s The Night Shift. He also plays Admiral Statura in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. His other TV credits include Deception, Person of Interest, Zero Hour and The Sopranos.
Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon

Eme Ikwuakor plays Gorgon, another one of Black Bolt’s cousins. He has the ability to create seismic waves by slamming his hooves. Ikwuakor recently starred on CBS’ Extant with Halle Berry. He also appeared in the movies Ink and Concussion. His other credits include episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles, Colony and How To Get Away With Murder.
Lockjaw

Yes, the giant teleporting canine Lockjaw will appear in the series. He is created using CGI. Lockjaw looks like a giant bulldog with an antennae coming out of its head. He is a pet of the Royal Family and belongs to Crystal.
