‘Nanny Nightmare’: Meet the Cast of Lifetime’s New Movie

The newest Lifetime movie is Nanny Nightmare, which stars Erin Cahill has a busy mom who hires a young male nanny to help watch her infant. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a nightmare, hence the title. The film, which first aired on Lifetime Movie Network last month, debuts on the main Lifetime network on Saturday, July 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Read on for a preview of the film and to meet the cast.

Nanny Nightmare was previously titled Hush Little Baby before Lifetime changed it. In the film, Lauren Bell is a mom who is trying to raise a teenage son and a newborn baby, while desperately reconnecting with her husband James. She decides to hire Owen, her neighbor, to be a nanny for the baby. At first there’s a honeymoon, but then everything crashes down when Owen tries to break up Lauren’s marriage and he develops a strange obsession with the baby. It soon becomes obvious that Lauren has to do something before it’s too late.

The movie was directed by Brian Herzliner, whose credits include My Date With Drew, Baby On Board, Meet My Valentine, Love’s Last Resort and The Perfect Daughter. Brian McAuley, who also wrote Nanny Cam, Seduced and an episode of Fuller House, wrote the script.

Brady Smith as James

Brady Smith stars as James, Lauren’s detached husband. In real life, Smith is married to Saved by the Bell and White Collar actress Tiffani Thiessen. They’ve been married since 2005 and have two children. Smith is best known for his roles in Chatter, The Perfect Daughter and Meet My Valentine. He’s also starred on TV in Happyland, Criminal Minds, Parks and Recreation and Hostages. You can follow Smith on Twitter here.


Erin Cahill as Lauren

Erin Cahill stars as Lauren Bell, the desperate mother at the center of Nanny Nightmare. She recently starred in Lifetime’s Nanny Seduction, which aired in March. Cahill is best known for starring as the Pink Ranger in Power Rangers Time Force, Wild Force and other Power Rangers shows in 2001 and 2002. Jake Manley as Owen

Jake Manley plays the twisted nanny Owen in Nanny Nightmare. He recently starred on NBC’s short-lived Heroes Reborn as Brad and was seen in an episode of Starz’s American Gods. He’s appeared in a few TV movies, including Pregnant at 17, Northpole: Open For Christmas and Bad Hair Day. He’s on Twitter here.

Tyler Huth stars in Nanny Nightmare as Carter. He only has a few other credits on his resume, including No Place In This World and the upcoming In Search of Liberty. He’s also appeared in a couple of short films. You can find him on Instagram here.
