A French policeman attaches the wreckage of Princess Diana's car in the Alma tunnel of Paris. Princess Diana was injured and her friend Egyptian millionaire Dodi el-Fayed was killed when the car crashed. After Princess Diana's death, there is a photo of the Queen, dressed in black, taking flowers from a young girl named Katie Jones. Express News reports Jones' looking back on the moment, saying: I was waving my flowers, and she asked me if I wanted her to go and put them down with the rest of the flowers, and I said "no, they're for you Ma'am.' She held my hand at this point, shaking, and she sort of questioned me and said 'are you sure?' And I was like: 'I think you deserve them I think you've done the right thing staying with your grandsons. I actually think I said 'If my mum had just died I'd want my grandma with me'. (Getty)
