Rob Kardashian has hired a lawyer to represent him in his case against his ex, Blac Chyna. According to TMZ, Kardashian has retained Robert Shapiro, former lawyer for OJ Simpson. As most people know, Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., also represented Simpson in his murder trial back in the 90s.
Last week, attorney Lisa Bloom announced that she would be representing Chyna in the case.
Shapiro is due in court on Monday morning where he will talk to the judge overseeing Kardashian and Chyna’s case. According to TMZ, Shapiro not be fighting the restraining order that Chyna is seeking as that is more than likely going to be granted because Chyna made claims that Kardashian has been violent. Instead, Shapiro is going to focus his attention on Kardashian and Chyna’s daughter, Dream. If there is a restraining order against Kardashian that prohibits him from getting near Chyna, seeing his daughter may become tricky. For this reason, Shapiro is going to try to get some sort of temporary custody agreement into play.
In addition, TMZ reports that Shapiro will tell the judge that his client will not post anymore nude photos of his ex.
“Our sources say Shapiro will attempt to assure the judge Rob will not post intimate pics of Chyna, nor will he post her medical or other personal information. And … no more slut shaming,” TMZ reports.
Meanwhile, Chyna was on Good Morning America on Monday, speaking out publicly for the first time since Kardashian posted nudes of her on social media and went on a rant — which her attorney has slammed as being “slut-shaming” and “cyber-bullying.”
During Chyna’s interview, she admitted that she and Kardashian have spoken about what went down. However, she said that she still feels as though he doesn’t respect her and she’s pressing forward with legal action.
“I’ve talked to Rob, you know, about everything. I’ve talked to him. The moral of the story is, like, he doesn’t respect me, so if you can’t respect me, you have to respect the law,” she said on GMA.
