Media Take Out reports that Barrett and Kardashian first met in 2016, and that they rekindled their relationship in the aftermath of his social media attack on Blac Chyna. “Rob met Yanique last year when he was in Jamaica and they stayed in contact,” says an inside source, “She’s helped him, especially with all that he’s going through now.”

Additionally, the insider claimed that “Rob is flying her to America so that they can get to know each other better. He’s going to help her with modeling opportunities there.” The rumors appeared to be compounded when Barrett posted a photo of her and Kardashian together less than a day after the Blac Chyna attack. 2. In Addition to Her Modeling, Barrett is a TV Host & a Singer

Barrett, also known as “Curvy Diva,” is most known as an Instagram model, as she currently has over 477 thousand followers. In addition to her modeling career, however, Barrett also works as a host on the television show Magnum Queens & Queens of Dancehall in her native Jamaica. According to The Caribbean Current, she became the 2nd host of the show in 2011, and is the face of Magnum 2016 “Go Louder” calendar, which has received glowing reception from fans.

Barrett started a career as a singer in 2017, appearing on the Kymani Marley version of “Turn Your Lights Down Low.” Her debut single, “Lifestyle,” was released in April, and took aim at critics who called her shapely figure, particularly her derriere, fake.

“Them a talk bout it fake but it still a shake / Bout tump in a face mi still a wait / Maxfield mi come from dat a bad place / So mind how yo a talk mi no do the trace / No grudge no gal when them a elevate.” The song also takes shots at Barrett’s Magnum Queens & Queens of Dancehall co-worker Miss Kitty, according to DancehallHipHop.

3. Barrett Has a Daughter Named Jade-Marie

Barrett has a 12-year-old daughter named Jada-Marie. Rarely pictured on Barrett’s social media, she prefers to keep her daughter’s life separate from that of her professional career.

“I tend to not incorporate my daughter in a lot of stuff because what I do sometimes is risqué and people will say, ‘Yuh have a child and yuh doing this or that,” she Told The Jamaica Star, “The thing is, I protect my child from what I do so when everybody is creating such an excitement over stuff, she’s so clueless to it. Her school, her friends, they don’t watch Magnum, so her environment is so structured that she isn’t exposed.”

She also explained that there is a big difference between how she is at home and how she is in the limelight: “When I do what I do is because that’s the Curvy Diva. Yanique, separate and apart, is a mommy, I carry her to school, pick her up. I’m a family person, a homebody. I wrap up with my baby girl, and that’s it.”

4. Barrett Was Romantically Linked to Usain Bolt in 2016

Prior to her involvement with Rob Kardashian, Barrett was romantically linked to Olympian Usain Bolt. The two were rumored to be dating in 2016, a rumor that Barrett quickly shot down in an interview with The Jamaica Star where she was asked about her dating status. “I am single and happy. Oh God,” she said, before detailing the relationship she was in prior: “I was in a very long relationship for about 11 years. I was engaged to be married. I think I outgrew him and that was my biggest problem. We became friends, but not really lovers or anything.”

When asked about Bolt specifically, Barrett affirmed that there was nothing romantic going on between them: “Usain is a very good friend of mine. He’s a cool guy. He’s a really sweet person. I can only sing him praises. So when the public come and mek it this big thing, it’s just a nasty situation. Yeah, we good… When unuh can tell me that, me can tell unuh what tek place.”

Barrett has taken an equally ambivalent approach with the recent Rob Kardashian rumors. When the story first broke on Friday, the model hopped on Instagram to speak on a few different things. Her first post, which included a screenshot of the Take Out Media story, came with the caption: “No man unuh tek dis too far, all a tell lie ? which part a mi a Instagram Model.”

While fans were uncertain on which part Barrett took offense to, the comment about not being an Instagram model led many to believe she was leaving her relationship status with Kardashian a mystery.

This continued with her second post, another screenshot tha came with the caption: “Now look how unuh mek China a call mi ????? yow mi wah kill dah snitch deh ??? alrightttt I’m done.” It sounds like Barrett is shooting down the dating rumors, but only time will tell for sure. Kardashian has yet to comment.
