1. Steve and His Wife Have Seven Children Combined

Steve and Marjorie have seven children combined.

Steve has twin daughters (Brandi and Karli, 34) from his marriage to Marcia; two sons, Broderick (26) and Wynton (19), from his second marriage to Mary Shackelford. Marjorie, meanwhile, has three children– Morgan (30), Jason (25), and Lori (20), from her previous marriage.


2. His Youngest Stepdaughter, Lori, Is Engaged to Professional Soccer Player Memphis Depay

On June 26, Steve announced that his youngest stepdaughter, Lori Harvey, said yes to a proposal from Dutch professional soccer player Memphis Depay.

Lori is 20, and her soon-to-be-husband is 23.

According to People, soon after announcing their engagement, Lori addressed some comments she’d received in regards to her and her fiance’s young ages. She took to Twitter to write, “I’m 20 and my fiancé is 23 for everyone asking….yes we are young, but when it’s right why wait.”


3. He Has Twin Daughters From His Marriage to His First Wife Marcia

Steve has twin daughters from his marriage to his first wife.

According to People, Steve and Marjorie’s kids were not necessarily a fan of the idea “blending their households”. In May, Steve told People, “I said, ‘Look, you don’t like it? Deal with it. I don’t need y’all’s permission.'”

Marjorie, meanwhile, told the outlet, “When you’re dealing with a blended family, everyone is coming from a place of broken. We knew this was right. But I just told them, ‘Everyone is included. Everyone has access to their parents. Whatever you didn’t have before, don’t let that interfere with what you can have now.’ ”


4. Steve Has Been Married Three Times

Steve married Marjorie in 2007. Discussing his marriage with Marjorie to People, Steve said, “It was like being reborn… I messed up so many times in my life. She made all the difference. When you’re happy at home, you can make a lot of things happen.”


5. His Second Wife Filed a Lawsuit Against Him Seeking $60 Million in “Soul Damage”

Steve’s ex-wife, Mary Shackelford, filed a lawsuit against him in May seeking $60 million in “soul damage”. The lawsuit claims that during their marriage, Mary was subject to severe mental pain, torture, conspiracy against rights, kidnapping, murder, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to BET.

Steve’s lawyers subsequently released a statement that read, “Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit. The Complaint is meritless, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the Complaint.”
