Who Will Be Eliminated on Tonight’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Episode? 10/30/2017

UPDATE: A surprise elimination went down tonight when TWO couples were sent home instead of just one. Vanessa Lachey and Nikki Bella were both eliminated on tonight’s Halloween episode and you can check out the full recap by clicking here.

Last week on Dancing With the Stars, Nick Lachey was eliminated, which means that this week, another contestant will be sent home. Tonight airs a new episode and, to get an idea of what to expect from the contestants, we have the details on last week’s scores. Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev scored a 36 out of 40, Drew Scott and Emma Slater received a 30 out of 40, Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy had a 31 out of 40, Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke received a 37 out of 40, Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson got a 31 out of 40, Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got a 36 out of 40, Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold had a 39 out of 40, and Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas received a perfect score. Recently, Stirling suffered an injury, which AOL News reports may affect her being able to participate in the show. If this is the case, then Stirling may go home.

Last week was A Night at the Movies and many of the celebrities showed great emotion in their performances. The theme of tonight’s episode is Halloween, since the holiday is tomorrow, and the official ABC synopsis of what to expect reads, “The eight remaining couples have spent the week learning all of the bloodcurdling tricks that it will take to treat the viewers to some terrifyingly fun dances, as Halloween Night comes to Dancing with the Stars live.” The lineup of tonight’s individual performances are: Drew Scott and Emma Slater dancing the Charleston to “Remains of the Day” by Danny Elfman; Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson performing a Contemporary routine to “Every Breath You Take” by Chase Holfelder; Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold performing a Paso Doblé to “Animals” by Martin Garrix; Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas dancing the Paso Doblé to “Roundtable Rival” by Lindsey Stirling herself; Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev performing the Jive to “I Put a Spell on You” by Bette Midler from the movie Hocus Pocus; Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke dancing the Tango to “Super Freak” by Rick James; Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy doing the Paso Doblé to “Game of Survival” by Ruelle; and Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy dancing the Viennese Waltz to “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron.

In addition to the individual performances, there are team dances incorporated in tonight’s show. Team Monster Mash will dance to the song “Monster Mash” by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and the team is comprised of Terrell Owens, who is the team captain, Nikki Bella, Jordan Fisher and Lindsey Stirling. Their pro partners Mark Ballas, Lindsay Arnold, Cheryl Burke and Artem Chigvintsev will all be on the team as well. Team Phantom of the Opera will perform a routine to “Phantom of the Opera” by the “Phantom of the Opera” Original London Cast & Michael Reed. Drew Scott is the team captain and the other contestants on the team include Victoria Arlen, Vanessa Lachey and Frankie Muniz. Their pro partners on the team include Emma Slater, Val Chmerkovskiy, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Witney Carson. Tonight, it’s anyone’s game when it comes to eliminations, especially since there are several talented contestants in the competition. In recent weeks, Terrell Owens has been in jeopardy a time or two, which means that tonight he could end up being sent home even though he scored so highly last week. Victoria Arlen has been in jeopardy as well. There have also been a couple episodes where high-scoring contestants have ended up in the bottom of the votes. Frankie Muniz, for example, has been in jeopardy on a previous episode. This means that there could potentially be a surprise elimination tonight. Cross your fingers that your favorite contestants make it through to next week, but if we had to guess based on scores and previous results, we would say that contestants on the chopping block include Victoria Arlen, Frankie Muniz and Lindsey Stirling, if her injury prevents her from performing.
