Crown Media

Tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. Central), Hallmark’s latest Countdown to Christmas movie, Switched for Christmas, will premiere. It’s a story of what happens when estranged twin sisters decide to switch lives. And it stars Candace Cameron Bure starring as twins, so you know it will be great. (Plus Happy the Dog is starring too, so the movie’s guaranteed to be adorable.)  After you read all about this movie and watch it, come back and share any comments or questions that you may have about the movie in our comments section below. Quick review without spoilers: This movie was adorable! But of course, starring Candace Cameron Bure as twins, there was no way it couldn’t be. I got a little confused at times remembering who was who, because their hairstyles and voices were so similar. I loved how they had a very supportive dad and how the movie really played on the theme of the importance of sisterly love, not just romantic love. The two romantic connections were great too, and there wasn’t any overly exaggerated drama that just could not be believed. Might not rank as high as “Nine Lives of Christmas” for me, but still a really great movie you won’t want to miss.

The synopsis reads:

Identical twins Kate and Chris Lockhart plot to be the other sister — at Kate’s office and Chris’ school – and take on planning their sister’s Christmas events. One rule, though: no romance. Chris as Kate is making her mark in the office, but co-worker Greg Turner grows curious about her sudden style. Kate as Chris, warming to her sudden family life, is introduced to a wealthy donor to help out the festival. Her jaw drops when she realizes that Tom Kinder is a teenage crush she met at that very festival 20 years ago. Can the sisters pull off their big events? And what about no romance? Will their little game of deceit take two hearts with it – Greg’s and Tom’s?
