Total Divas premieres season 7 tonight with three new cast members – Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss and Carmella. Meanwhile, fans may notice a couple longtime divas gone from the mix. Paige and Eva Marie are no longer on the show, though there’s a chance they could make appearances in the future. TV Over Mind previously reported that Paige, who was a cast member for four seasons, was suspended twice by the WWE. She also may have been suffering some injuries, rehabbing her neck, so she may be off the cast list for at least this season. Paige has also been rumored to be having issues in her relationship with Alberto Del Rio. And, with Eva Marie quitting the WWE, it was pretty obvious that she would not be back. Just recently, it was reported by The Inquistr that Paige is set to return to the WWE’s main roster after a hiatus for about a year, so there’s always hope that Paige could come back to the series as a full-time diva. A return date has not yet been released.

Over the summer, TMZ reported that Paige and her man were involved in an alleged domestic violence situation. Police had responded to an incident at Orlando Airport, during which Paige told Alberto to, “Leave me the fuck alone” and “Stay out of my life.” After the incident, Paige reportedly said that Alberto never touched her and the engaged couple was back on good terms. As a result of the incident, however, Albert was suspended indefinitely by Global Force Wrestling. In the summer of 2016, both Paige and Alberto Del Rio were suspended for “violating the company’s talent wellness policy,” as reported by Rolling Stone. The suspensions were the firsts for each of them and the duration was 30 days. As for Eva Marie, she first joined the WWE in 2013 and she also was suspended in 2016 for violation of the WWE’s wellness policy. On August 4, 2017, WWE reported that Eva Marie and the company “mutually agreed to contractually part ways”, with Eva Marie posting the following message on Twitter, “Today I’m saying a bittersweet goodbye to @WWE. Thanks to the entire team, and YOU, my fans, for these 4 years! #AllRedEverythingForever.”

For season 7 of Total Divas, there are three new women and one of them (Nia Jax) really rubs diva Maryse the wrong way right on the premiere episode when she questions Maryse too much about her wrestling career. After Nia asks Maryse if she’s ever done a Gauntlet match, things get very heated, with Maryse saying, “This business is built on respect. You don’t walk to someone that’s been here for 12 years and go, ‘Have you ever been in a Gauntlet match?’ Or come up to me last week and say, ‘How does it feel to not be part of this?'” In response, Nia says, “You’re taking yourself way too seriously right now. You need to tone the ego down and calm down … I’m the wrong person to come hot at.” Nia Jax is clearly not one to back down. As for the other divas this season, the returning cast members include the Bella twins, Natalya, Naomi and Lana. When it comes to how newbie Alexa Bliss got into wrestling, she told E! News that, “My family loves WWE, it was the thing we did on Monday nights. We got together, ate pizza. Me and my cousins used to pretend to be the Hardys and Lita. And after college I got a call that I had made it to a try-out, was signed, contracted to NXT and started from there.”
